The qualification is designed for people who have a specific responsibility at work, or in voluntary and community activities, to provide First Aid when dealing with an emergency situation.

Day 1 – Unit 1 – Emergency First Aid in the Workplace

- CPR and AED
- Unconscious casualty breathing normally – inc Management of Seizure
- Choking casualty
- Shock
- External Bleeding
- Minor Injuries
- Written Assessment – Multiple choice

Day 2 – Unit 2 – Management of Illness and Injury in the Workplace
- Respiratory System
- Hypoxia
- Chest Injuries
- Asthma & Hyperventilation
- Circulatory System
- Wounds and Bleeding Extras
- Eye Injuries
- Shock
- Anaphylaxis
- Angina & Heart Attack
- Stroke “Brain Attack”
- Burns and Scalds
- Poisonous substances

Day 3 – Unit 2 – Management of Illness and Injury in the Workplace

Qualification:
3 Day First Aid at Work
Written & Practical Assessment undertaken
QA Level 3 Award in First aid at Work 2 Credits (RQF) – certificate valid for 3 years.

Blended Learning
Who’s it for?
The qualification is designed for people who have a specific responsibility at work, or in voluntary and community activities, to provide First Aid when dealing with an emergency situation.
What is Blended Learning?
Day 1 is completed online, you can either complete this in a day or complete this over a few bit size sessions, as long as it is completed prior to the Day 2 and Day 3 classroom sessions.
