Crikey where do I start! I had always worked in retail and then I got fed up and decided to focus on training, my first experience of the training world was NQ assessing, for which I am trained in 7 areas including management, then I co-ordinated Investors in People, going onto starting my own Company. My area of expertise in training is Customer Service, Food Safety, Health & Safety, Fire and Manual Handling.
When I am not working I love Gardening, Reading, Swimming, walking the local costal paths, spending time with my children and grandchild and painting furniture and chilling at my caravan.
I feel very humbled to have such a special team of people working with me. as part of the Onelife Training family.
I like nothing better than to be with friends or family cooking over a campfire in our woods, or hiking with my dog on Dartmoor where I live, watching the wildlife or being by the stunning South Devon coast doing a spot of fishing. Outdoors is where I want to be.
Nigel was previously in the HM Forces for over 20 years and gained an incredible amount of experience from this, since leaving the Forces 9 years ago, he has had several jobs, from working in care, owning a clothing shop with his wife and as a training manager for a multi national food company. More recently Nigel has found a passion in the training environment, training first aid, fire safety and various other subjects. he has also gained a first responder qualification to add to his skills and knowledge. when not working Nigel likes to spend time with his family and his animals and going fishing for Carp.
I have worked as a safety advisor and trainer for many years, mostly with the military. I love delivering training, especially first aid as it is a vital life skill that can really make a difference. I try to keep myself current by delivering safety advice and first aid at events across the South West.
I love spending time in the mountains and on the water and am qualified in various skills to support this activity. I also love going out with my dog Archie, a working cocker spaniel, who is a lot fitter than I am….!
I am a fully qualified Teacher/Trainer, Facilitator, and First Aider who has
worked as a Trainer with Carole and the Onelife team for a few years now. Teaching and learning are not only my passions, but defining aspects of my life.
My background is in the Healthcare, in the NHS and I spend much of my time healthcare training. My work and personal life experiences award me a first-hand understanding of many complex life challenges and my various Healthcare and First Aid qualifications enable me to train many different subjects.
I am originally from London but I currently live in South Devon. I have two sons who are in their 20s and fully adulting very impressively. I love animals, music and great food. And in my spare time I love an adventure, which usually entails a walk somewhere new to make discoveries of new and interesting places. I love it even more if there are friends, a dog, some food and a large glass of wine involved!
I am from India; I was in Dubai for 13 years working with Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services under the Government of Dubai serving as an EMT- basic for first 5 years and then promoted to be a Senior Life Support Instructor for 7 years . I would describe myself as an extroverted, energetic, dynamic, approachable, light-hearted, and positive person. I’m a passionate about teaching who loves to learn and share knowledge with others and keep myself updated.
I am a hardworking and driven individual who isn’t afraid to face a challenge. Moreover, I am quite ambitious, focused and determined.
Currently, I am working as a Registered Nurse in the UK. During my pastime I engage myself in cooking, do shopping and love watching movies
Overall, as an individual I always pursue my motto in life which is “Believe in yourself and your dreams” and “Never quit”.
Having a background in the climbing industry as a training manager I have a bank of experience delivering courses and instruction (and some hands on first aid experience too!). I feel very fortunate to impart practical life saving skills as a profession and love meeting people with such varied and interesting roles. In my spare time I am out exploring the Devon landscape and coastline and am always looking for ways to make First Aid delivery more relevant and engaging to all.
Kirsten is a freelance marketer that has worked with Onelife Training for 6 years. With a background in leading marketing teams across diverse industries, she excels in promoting businesses and establishing effective client outreach strategies. When not immersed in marketing, Kirsten explores the Devon and Cornish coast, embraces forest adventures, and enjoys year-round sea swims with her young family.
Here at Onelife I am responsible for processing bookings/and keeping you up-to-date on when you need to renew. Aside from work I like to spend as much time as possible in the great outdoors as I am a fresh air fanatic. I enjoy cold water swimming and love to try new places to swim. I also enjoy long walks in the countryside and by the coast.
Originating from the Cambridgeshire Fens and where I still reside, I joined the Onelife Training Team working as an Customer Service Admin Assistant in August 2022 after leaving the NHS after 5 and a half years working in General Practice as a Care Navigator in a GP Surgery. Prior to this I spent several years working as a Legal Secretary at a local Solicitors. My main hobbies are my Border Collies, of which my husband and I currently own four, I also enjoy going on holiday, one of my favourite places to visit being North Cornwall.
