That’s why we’re excited to share that we’ve added two brand-new courses to our calendar, each designed to give you skills you can use straight away, whether you’re caring for little ones or stepping into the world of teaching.
Parent and Child First Aid
Because accidents don’t just happen when it’s convenient…
Our new Parent and Child First Aid course is designed for parents, grandparents, carers – and children too! It’s a friendly, hands-on session where grown-ups and little ones can learn together.
This makes it perfect for building confidence as a family. Kids learn how to respond calmly if someone gets hurt, while adults refresh their knowledge in a relaxed environment.
You’ll cover skills such as:

What to do if someone is choking
-
CPR for babies, children, and adults
-
How to treat minor injuries and burns
-
Spotting and managing allergic reactions, fevers, and more
It’s fun, practical, and a great way to feel prepared as a household. You’ll leave with peace of mind, and your children will leave knowing they can help in an emergency too.

Award in Education and Training (AET)
If you’ve ever thought, “I could teach this,” the Award in Education and Training is your starting point.
This nationally recognised qualification is perfect for anyone looking to train or teach in their area of expertise. You’ll need to be 19 or over to take this course, and we recommend having a Level 2 in English. Don’t worry though, we’ll be with you every step of the way, giving you the tools and support to plan, deliver, and assess learning with confidence.
You’ll cover:
- Roles and responsibilities of a teacher/trainer
- How to create inclusive learning environments
- Assessment methods that work
- Planning and delivering engaging sessions
Whether you want to train within your workplace, run your own courses, or add another skill to your CV, the AET opens the door to a whole new area of opportunity.
