First aid and open course update following the coronavirus pandemic

In line with government guidelines and the spread of Coronavirus we stopped all of our open courses in March. The FAAOF (First Aid Awarding Organsation Forum) recommended that first aid training (other than essential first aid training) should not restart until after the government has changed the Covid-19 alert status to Level 3. The alert level is currently set at Level 4 with the government saying they anticipate this will change to Level 3 no earlier than 1st June.

The HSE granted a 3 month extension on selected first aid certificates that expired from 16th March 2020. The latest update explains that people now have until the 30th September to renew their qualifications but again, this could change

We will be making changes to the way we run our first aid courses which have to be adapted to ensure we meet with the current social distancing requirements. The planning and preparation for us to return to this whilst keeping our delegates safe is our number one priority.

Carole has put together a video detailing the most up to date changes to training following all the advice coming out so please take a moment to watch it here.

If you are looking for an alternative way to learn or train your staff during this time, E-Learning is a very effective way to gain new skills at a pace that suits you. We are offering buy one course get the second half price until the end of June. Please take a look at our E-Learning page which details the 90 different courses we offer.
