About this course
Basic Life Support & Management of Anaphylaxis
Who’s it for?
This accredited qualification is for people who have a specific responsibility at work, at home or in voluntary and community activities, to provide BLS and manage anaphylaxis when dealing with an emergency. The content of this qualification has been approved by the Anaphylaxis Campaign.
Learners must be at least 16 years old on the first day of training.
There are no other formal entry requirements but to benefit from the learning we advise that Learners have a minimum of Level 1 in literacy or equivalent.
The qualification and the learning outcomes are based on the recommendations of:
- The Resuscitation Council (UK)
- Skills for Health Assessment Principles for First Aid Qualifications
Basic Life Support & Management of Anaphylaxis – Course Content:
- Chain of Survival
- Incident and casualty assessment
- Cardiopulmonary resuscitation and external defibrillation
- Managing anaphylaxis
Half Day – 9.00-12.30 – 3.5 Hours
QA Level 2 Award in Basic Life Support & Management of Anaphylaxis – 1 Credit (RQF)
On completion of a practical assessment you will receive a QA Level 2 Award in Basic Life Support & Management of Anaphylaxis – Certificate valid for 1 year.
