Who’s It For?
The qualification is designed for people who have a specific responsibility at work, or in voluntary and community activities, to provide First Aid and/or use an AED when dealing with an emergency situation.
Entry Requirements
Learners must be at least 16 years old on the first day of the training.
There are no other formal entry requirements but to benefit from the learning we advise that Learners have a minimum of Level 1 in literacy and numeracy or equivalent.

- Basic Life Support Requirements
- CPR
- AED Safety Considerations
- Use of the Automated External Defibrillator
- AED User Maintenance and Troubleshooting
- Recovery Position
- Choking
- Handover and reporting
- Multi Choice Written Assessment
How Long?
1 Day – 9.00- 2.30 – 5 Half Hours
Qualification:
QA Level 2 Award in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and AED 1 Credit (RQF)
On completion of a written assessment you will receive
QA Level 2 Award in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation & AED – Certificate Valid for 1 Year
